There are certainly still times I feel stretched too thin, so I'm not immune.
But, when I'm ready to take a step toward scaling, I try to think of things that suck the most time away from my days. Simple things I could offload to someone (probably much better than me anyway) but have the potential to make a big impact.
At first it was things shooting and directing (so I could primarily produce), then it was things like editing, design, motion graphics, etc. And now I'm venturing more into the sales realm with pitch deck creation, cold outreach and follow up, etc.
I love being creative and there's definitely a part of me that sees the business aspects as a game. And that can be fun in it's own way. But I do feel the same way from time to time in those moments where juggling creative and admin feels hard - so all I want to do is drop all the admin and focus only on creative.
I feel like the next step after getting some sales help will be for me to bring on a part-time project manager to help with the day-to-day of managing the contractors and client relations.
Hey really digging your stuff here. Again as a solo owner I want to go big but then stretch too thin.
It's moments when I feel like I have things under control that feel the best.
When you feel stable, what steps do you take to scale?
Yeah, I totally get it.

Sometimes I wish I could just edit and hire someone else to run my company.
I enjoy owning a business but man... There are times I don't want to do admin. But I do feel admin is where you can start to see growth.
100%
